The evolution of the penal legislative frame concerning the penal consumers’ protection in Republic of Moldova is analyzed in the present article. The author presents the factors that determined the evolution of the above-mentioned penal legislative frame. The references concerning consumers’ protection mentioned in the Criminal Code of Republic of Moldova from 1961 and their modifications are analyzed. The relations between the Criminal Code and other laws and Government decisions concerning consumers’ protection are established. The author makes reference to the European legislative documents regarding consumers’ protection. Besides, the author underlines that it is important for Moldova to take an example from the successful practices of other European countries of implementing the penal policy referred to consumer’s protection.
