Although it is based on international treaties, the European judicial order is presenting characteristics fundamentally different than the international judicial order. The general law principles represent the expression of jurisprudence normative power; generally these are unwritten law rules. In the hierarchy of the European Union Law they have the same position as the institutional treaties and the European institutions are forced to respect them under the annulment prescription.
