| Rezumat | ||||||
The integration of women in the social and political life on all levels promotes the democratization of politics. According to the data of the National Bureau of Statistics in 2008 female make up 51.9 percent of the population of Moldova. However, as it is pointed out in the base report prepared by the Parliament and UNDP on the situation of Human Rights in Moldova, the participation of women in decision-making process and governance does not correspond to the standards of democracy. This article has been made within the frameworks of the Matra KAP (Small Embassy Projects) programme (Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands). |
