The author analyses in this article the functioning on the Polish Refugee Protection System during the last two decades with the emphasis on the European Union enlargement process that has affected domestic immigration and asylum policies in Poland. As a result the following sections are provided here: 1) Origins of the refugee protection and contemporary debates on this issue; 2) Development of the EU Asylum Policy; 3) Incorporation of the EU Asylum law into the Polish law; 4) Role of NGOs in the Polish Refugee Protection System.

Autorul analizează în acest articol funcționarea sistemului polonez de protecție pentru refugiați pe parcursul ultimelor două decenii, cu accent pe procesul de extindere a Uniunii Europene, care a afectat politicile interne ale Poloniei în domeniul imigrației și azilului. În consecință, sunt analizate următoarele direcţii: 1) Originile protecției refugiaților și dezbaterile contemporane cu privire la această chestiune; 2) Elaborarea politicii de azil a UE; 3) Incorporarea legislației UE în domeniul azilului în legislația poloneză; 4) Rolul ONG-urilor în sistemul de protecție polonez pentru refugiați.

Автор анализирует в этой статье функционирование польской системы защиты беженцев в течение последних двух десятилетий, с акцентом на процесс расширения Европейского союза, который затронул внутреннюю практику иммиграции и предоставления убежища в Польше. В результате здесь анализируются следующие направления: 1) Происхождение защиты беженцев и современные дискуссии по этому вопросу; 2) Развитие политики ЕС о предоставлении убежища; 3) Включение закона о предоставлении убежища в ЕС в польском законодательстве; 4) Роль НПО в польской системе защиты беженцев.
