One of the significant dimensions of the work of Solomon Marcus is represented by the analysis, in various forms and from different angles, of the creation of Mihai Eminescu. The aesthetic conception of the poet, the multiple cultural concerns determine new fields of research, which reflect the interest for absolute knowledge or for the word as a form of artistic communication. Thus, Solomon Marcus places Eminescu’s creation in the horizon of the holographic principle, which he identifies both at the level of great ideas and at the level of metaphorical expression. Among these, the primacy of the visual benefits from a privileged place, which, from the perspective of Solomon Marcus, represents a defining aspect of the metaphorical language and the vision of the poet. The road from sight to vision follows that trajectory of the being that ends in a profound Eminesian longing for infinity. |
