The paper analyzes the importance and role of expert examination in investigating crimes of illicit enrichment, in the situation where this scourge undermines democratic institutions, justice and the state of law, affects the sustainable development of states and international community as a whole. Certainly, the expert examination strengthens the probatory force of any evidence, while ordering an expert examination and the involvement of experts from different fields completes the procedural tools of the criminal investigation body and the prosecutor in investigating the crime of illicit enrichment, and, respectively, dynamizes, on the one hand, the finding of the truth, and, on the other hand, strengthens the mechanism for achieving justice and the litigants' sense of justice. |
