In this article, the characteristics of the genus Gymnocalycium are considered in terms of the classifi cation proposed by Schutz and modifi ed by Rogatsky. The dynamics of the development of the collection of representatives of the genus Gymnocalycium in the “Alexandru Ciubotaru” National Botanical Garden (I) is given below. The results of the systematization, revision and identifi cation of the species of the collection are presented. The requirements for the conditions of growing species belonging to different subgenera and sections have been determined on the basis of the analysis of their habitat.

În acest articol, sunt luate în considerare caracteristicile genului Gymnocalycium din punct de vedere al clasifi cării propuse de Schutz şi modifi cate de către Rogatsky. Este prezentată dinamica de dezvoltare a reprezentanților genului Gymnocalycium în colecțiile Grădinii Botanice Naționale (I) „Alexandru Ciubotaru”. Sunt prezentate rezultatele sistematizării, inventarierii și identifi cării speciilor colecției. Cerințele pentru condițiile de creștere a speciilor aparținând diferitor subgenuri și secțiuni au fost determinate pe baza analizei habitatului acestora.
