Rezumat | ||||||
At 150 years since the term was imposed, a century since it became a scientific domain, and 50 years since its affirmation as the dominant contemporary science, Ecology becomes today an extremely important source of law as well, generating Environmental Law. Given the conditions of globalization, at first economic, and the planet-wide ecological issues, Environmental Law has known important transformations, which aim to promote and insure theoretical solidarity, by means of general principles, territorial solidarity, taking into account the social and historical factor, and by preserving and consolidating national priorities. The ecological space generates nomos, and implies a unitary legal protection, manifesting itself as an integrating factor. Announced by documents of universal nature, such as the Paris Agreement on climate change (2015), the new Environmental Law has, at its center, the concept of ecological justice. |
