The Parliamentary institution plays a key role in improving government effectiveness, public services delivery and eradication of poverty. Considering the whole array of functions, the institution of parliament has the unique possibility to understand and manage effects of poverty, as well as bridge the gap between government, private sector and civil society. The development of parliamentarism directly contributes to the achievement of established development goals, whereas a member of the parliament represents the interests of the electorate, who, in turn, must draw benefits from their work. Thus, the active role of the parliamentary institution is to strategize upon eradication of poverty, contributing to a more complete social participation in economic development.
