The article is devoted to the study of current issues that are aimed at studying the problems of preserving the qualitative and quantitative indicators of land resources. Particular attention is paid to the question of the relationship between such concepts as “conservation” and “protection” of land. The article analyzes the features of land conservation as the main task of their protection. The main directions of land conservation in the integrated use and protection of land are highlighted.
