The year 2018 marks the 200th anniversary of the creation of the City Garden (today Stefan cel Mare Park) in Chisinau. It is known that since the end of the 20s of the XIX century the City garden has really become an ornament of Kishinev. The names of such famous architects as A. Bernardazzi, L. Zaushkevich, G. Gordeev,  A. Peske, L. Sheidevandt and others, as well as of the sculptor A. Opekushin are associated with the arrangement of the garden. In the second half of the nineteenth century, the building of the Nobility Assembly and the monuments raised in honor of the poet Pushkin and the Emperor of Russia Alexander II, embellished the park.  Based on archival documents, the author presents the history of the arrangement of the City Garden, including the construction of architectural structures and sculptures, which became integral to the park in the XIX century. In this article, we also approach the issue of the construction of the first building for fabrication of photographs by the authors A. Sumovsky and S. Plotnitsky, as well as creation of the first kiosk for newspaper in Kishinev. Some archival documents, drafts and sketches are published for the first time.

В 2018 г. исполняется 200 лет с момента создания Городского Сада (сегодня это Парк Штефан чел Маре). Уже с конца 20-х гг. Городской сад становится украшением Кишинева. С обустройством сада связаны имена таких известных архитекторов, как А. Бернардацци, Л. Заушкевич, Г. Гордеев, А. Песке, Л. Шейдевандт и др., а также скульптора А. Опекушина. Здания Благородного Собрания, памятники поэту Александру Пушкину и Российскому императору Александру II также украсили Городской Сад во второй половине XIX в.  На основе архивных документов автор статьи представляет историю обустройства Городского Сада, строительства архитектурных и скульптурных сооружений, которые стали его неотъемлемой частью в XIX в. Также в данной статье речь идет о строительстве первого здания для изготовления фотографий авторами: представителем купеческого сословия Афанасием Сумовским и австрийско-подданным Сигизмундом Плотницким, а также создания первого киоска в Кишиневе. Некоторые архивные документы, планы и чертежи публикуются впервые.
