Effective detection of TB cases is the fi rst step of disease control actions performed at the national level. The aim of the research was to assess the pulmonary tuberculosis peculiarities depending on the methods of detection. It was performed a retrospective, selective and descriptive study that assessed features of pulmonary tuberculosis depending by the method of detection in a total number of 380 patients with pulmonary tuberculosis, aged 18-70 years, distributed in two samples: the sample group – 265 patients detected by passive way, the control group – 115 patients detected by active way. It was established the prevalence of men in both assessed groups and the predomination of multiple and diverse risk factors in the study group. Delayed diagnosis conditioned extensive and bilateral tuberculosis in the group detected by passive way. Low expressiveness of clinical aspects, due to limited affected segments predominated in the group of patients detected by active way. The high rate of microscopic positive patients demonstrates the epidemiologic danger of the passive detection way on the healthy population. Screening measures must be optimized taking into account the severity of the epidemiological situation in the R. of Moldova. |
