Actuality: Adolescence is a period of transition in a person’s life, psycho-sexual development of adolescent girls (DPSA) is a process a of major importance in it. The occurence of gynecological diseases is reasoned directly by type of DPSA and manifests as a consequence of immature hypothalamic-pituitary structures at this stage. Adolescent psychosexual maturation is conditioned by the rapid growth in terms of physical, sexual, psychosexual and psychosocial development. Physically, at the age of 15-16 years, adolescent body takes the characteristics of an adult. Simultaneously sexual maturation occures, psychosocial maturity at the same time is far from the expected. During adolescence, it is important to assess the interdependence of biological and psychosocial development processes. Sexual development implies the formation of secondary sexual signs, development of reproductive organs, acquiring the ability to bear a child. Psychosexual development includes: formation of gender identity, gender role, sexual attraction and orientation; and presence of stereotyped sex behavior. Psychosexual maturation has two aspects: emotional and practical. There are 2 known stages of sexuality development: sexual identification and awareness of belonging to a particular sex, as well as the formation of sex-role stereotyping behavior, ie public manifestation of gender identity in accordance with accepted norms in the society. Formation of adolescent sexual orientation passes successively through the stages of libido: platonic, erotic and sexual. There are several types of DPSA and sexual behavior, each influencing adolescent development: normal DPSA, accelerated, slowed, suppressed with repression of libido and disharmonious. Conlusions: Because of existence of high-level incidence of teenage gynecological pathologies, it is necessary to consider the type of DPSA for a complex management, in cooperation between the gynecologist and psychologist |
