Rezumat | ||||||
In context of the enlargement of the North-Atlantic Alliance and European Union, the geopolitical position of the Republic of Moldova shows a decreased importance for European security, and the existence of the Transnistrian conflict and the institutional fragility prove to be substantial impediments on the way of EU and NATO increased political presence. Even if the insurance of the national security is the priority of the domestic factors, the potential of the Republic of Moldova is diminished, that is why the foreign assistance is quite appropriate in this case, pursuing both domestic and foreign objectives to do not allow instability proliferation. The Republic of Moldova is interested to materialize a wide and more developed relationship with the European and Euro-Atlantic structures that can be an institutional stabilization factor, as well as a key-tool for modernization, European integration and implementation of the updated IPAP provisions resuming the process of democratic reforms aimed at institutional capacities consolidation, including the security and defense sector. |
