International liberation movements and the Actual political satire in the works of Da rio Fo. The article reveals a period when Dario Fo`s performances became an instrument of political and cultural intervention. Guerra di popolo in Chile was conceived as a performance of intervention, as a political action which became part of the activity of mobilization against the massacre in Chile and the assassination of Aliende. Two performances Non si paga, non si paga and Fanfani rapito signify a decisive resumption of the farce genre that definitely confirms itself as the principal theatrical language of cinematography. In the play Fanfani rapito the author uses means of expressiveness characteristic of the Middle Ages. The finale has a prophetic and apocalyptic aspect in which Dario Fo describes the possibility of a coup‑d`etat similar to the one carried out by Pinochet. The dramatist`s work is a metaphor of theatrical techniques used by Fo and of the political strategies persued for years. |
