Constituirea operei de artă teatrală ține de organizarea compozițională a spațiului scenic. Astfel, compoziţia scenografică poate fi considerată structura scenografică determinată de conceptul artistic al spectacolului, amplasament şi interdependenţa componentelor care sunt echilibrate în limitele spaţiului scenic. Realizările teatrului contemporan nu pot fi privite izolat fără analiza socio-psihologică a publicului, care are tot dreptul să se aştepte la sinteze, la integritatea organică a acţiunii scenice. În acest sens, rolul scenografiei creşte, îndeplinind funcția codului semantic al întregului spectacol.

Scenographic composition – the semantic and artistic concept of the performance The establishment of the theatrical artwork is related to the compositional organization of the stage space. Therefore, the scenographic composition can be defined as the scenographic structure determined by the artistic concept of the performance, the placement and interdependence of the components that are balanced within the stage space. The achievements of the contemporary theatre cannot be viewed in isolation without the socio-psychological analysis of the public, which has every right to expect syntheses and organic integrity of the scenic action. In this respect, the role of scenography is increasing as it fulfils the role of semantic code of the entire performance.
