In this article is analyzed a prayer which is performed in church in the Triodion period –“The doors of repentance” prayer from “The Vespers and Matins Hymns” cycle by Mihail Berezovschi. The author shows the way in which the Bassarabian composer approached the creation of Ukrainian composer A. Vedel, determining the degree of involve-ment in the original score and the changes conferred to the prayer, also succeed to establish the meaning that lies hidden behind the indications of the Bassarabian composer “arranged and set up” remark. The author of this article realizes a profound analysis of “The doors of repentance” prayer, revealing the content of the text and its musical treatment, the invoice features, the harmonic peculiarities, implicitly the degree of popularity and her viability. |
