Rezumat

The aime of our research is to analyze the premises for tackling the migration problem of Moldovans in Italy from the perspective of second generation. We will refer to children of Moldovan immigrants who have followed their parents, but also those who was born and raised up in Italy. There are about 20 percent of Moldovan immigrants (in Italy) that makes their number up to 200 thousand of people. In the past five years, the number of Moldovan pupils in Italian schools every year exceeded 20 thousand learners. From 1997 to present, in Italy they were born more than 12 thousand children with at least one parent citizen of Moldova. So we refer to a significant number of Moldovan children present in Italy, who may be included in the category of second generation. As a fact, an extremely small number of Moldovan citizens obtained the citizenship of Italy until now and their children are affected by parents returning in Moldova, where the reintegration brings big problems.
