Raportul dintre societate şi stat ca forma superioară de organizare a societăţii a constituit obiectul de studiu al unui număr inpunător de cercetători ştiinţifici pe parcursul dezvoltării şi evoluţiei omenirii pe mapamond. Mecanismele de interacţiuni şi interdependenţa dintre societatea civilă ca fenomen complex şi stat ca totalitate de instituţii abilitate cu funcţii şi atribuţii distincte, identificarea raportului dintre aceste două fenomene pot fi constatate în operele gănditorilor din toate perioadele istoriei omenirii. Prezentul articol reflectă abordările celor două fenomene pe parcursul celor trei etape convenţionale de dezvoltare: perioada antică, medievală şi cea modernă. Complexitatea interacţiunilor dintre stat şi societatea civilă prin prisma teoriei generale a dreptului constituie obiectul de cercetare a următoarelor investigaţii

The correlation between society and state, as a higher form of social organization, represented the object of study of a great number of scientific researchers along the global human evolution and development process. The interaction and interdependence mechanisms between civil society, as a complex phenomenon, and state, as an aggregate of authorized bodies vested with distinct duties and functions, the identification of the correlation between these two phenomena can be found in the works of great thinkers of all historical times of human evolution. This article reflects the approaches of the two phenomena along the three conventional development stages: the Antiquity, the Middle Ages and Modern Period. The complexity of interactions between state and civil society, through the light of general theory of law, represents the research object of the following investigations.
