Rezumat | |||||||
The purpose of this study was to investigate technology use in the classroom and perceptions
of needs in online course design in Tanzania and Moldova and to also offer technology
based instructional strategies. The study surveyed 144 teachers, half from the country
of Moldova and half from Tanzania. The study found there was significantly less use of
technology in Tanzania in comparison to Moldova. The Internet and PowerPoint were the
most frequently used tools in both countries, while Moodle, blogs and Skype were rarely
used. Moldovan and Tanzanian teachers
reported a great deal of interest in attending workshops on designing online learning. ELearning
strategies that include community building and active participation
are included in the paper. |
