In the article the theoretical study of the legal nature of the Internet is provided. An analysis of the content of the concept of the Internet service is carried out. The author’s classification of Internet services is offered, which includes three groups: Internet services; services through the Internet; service of access to the Internet. Based on the current Ukrainian legislation and the legislation of foreign countries the responsibility of subjects for the providing the various types of Internet services are detailed.

В статье исследуется правовая природа сети Интернет, анализируется содержание понятия «Интернет-услуги», предлага- ется их авторская классификация: услуги сети Интернет, услуги в сети Интернет, услуги доступа к сети Интернет. На основе действующего законодательства Украины, законодательства зарубежных стран детализируется ответственность субъектов за оказание различных видов Интернет-услуг.
