The literary critic Alexandru Burlacu proves, in terms of literary analysis, în materie de comentariu literar, very broad and diverse interest: un interes foarte larg şi divers: poetry and prose of Bessarabia from the 1920s-1930s, fundamental novels of Soviet literature placed under the sign of reinterpretations; trends in contemporary literary criticism; explorations of new paradigms within the post-Soviet poetry, etc. His major work to date consists of those three volumes of Texistences (2007, 2008,2012), in which each writer is revealed from a perspective that is considered important by the critic to set their profile in contemporaneity.
