The given article refers to the role of NATO in managing water resources on the international level. Here are presented projects in which NATO is a participant within the Science for Peace and Security Program. The authors apply reliable sources for documentation, which makes the given material interesting and trustworthy. Examples from the Republic of Moldova are brought. The article comes with the conclusion that the efficient international collaboration contributes to solving environment problems on the national and international levels. In such a way, CCMS NATO (Committee on the Challenges of the Modern Society) supports a series of projects that aim at water resources management in different world regions within the Science for Peace and Security Program in order to promote peace and security. These projects give the opportunity of both, taking concrete steps, and to establish a dialogue between states, governments, organizations, scientific environments on the national and international levels.
