In this article are analyzed relations based on private property on land, and necessity of land market formation. One theme of this article is the working mechanism of land market: land demand and its types, land supply, land price and influencing factors. In article are characterized rights of private property on land, that can be alienate by buying-selling or by leasing. As a result appear the leasing land market. Another point is the specific of creation of land market in R. Moldova and its problems, transaction costs and relations with other markets.
