Born as a silent film it wasn’t meant to last for a long time. In movie theaters the film was accompanied by single musicians or orchestras depending on the level of the theater and the type of the motion picture. On the other side directors were looking for a sound interpretation in the design of editing. The introduction of sound films was not accepted well by some
part of the audience. They were not against sound in films as a whole, but against talking films. Unfortunately even today
directors think according to the laws of silent films. One should think about creating a sound film not when it is finished but all the time beginning with the literary text and screen play. |
