In this article, I aim at discussing the “speaker’s anxiety/inquietude” (in Eugenio Coseriu’s terms), a concern which deserves to be treated very seriously, as Stelian Dumistrăcel also proved while defending the Coserian point of view. In this regard, I will try to present as simply as possible (“intelligible to all”) the way in which the “speaker’s inquietude” arose, since this special type of restlessness is the one from which the very deontology (or ethics) of language later emerged and evolved. Thus, I will explain how the concern for correct usage appeared (in rational order) and how it would manifest itself in general.
