Despite humanity’s concerted efforts to prevent and exclude war from the range of instruments for resolving conflicts between states, this phenomenon is proving to be present, including in the immediate vicinity of the borders of the Republic of Moldova. The analysis of the specifics of contemporary armed conflicts allows us to find that private structures are present in hostilities. This article reflects on the compatibility of the national legislation of the Republic of Moldova with the legal status of Private Military and Security Companies in terms of neutrality status and the need to take all ne-cessary legislative measures to avoid the negative impact of their involvement in armed conflicts. |
