This paper’s a scientific endeavor aimed at functional analysis of cerebral hemispheres from a psychological perspective, for the handball players-senior level. It was applied a battery of specific tests on subjects investigated, in order to identify the level of cerebral dominance. Based on the results over all, it was made a hemispherical profile which provided the basis for developing a model selection. The overall conclusion is that by knowing more thorough psychological characteristics of athletes, may become improve action selection, training can be better adapted to individual peculiarities, all leading to getting better sports performance.
