The media reality of the last years is illustrated by multiple conceptual, structural and ethical changes, referring to the existing possibilities of selecting, evaluating and transmitting the political information to the public. The material tries to emphasize the main media tendencies
of succeeding and imposing on the press market in conditions of presence of a very severe competition. This way, the investigation of these tendencies appears to be natural and necessary, just to avoid the possible effects of public’s manipulation by the press, especially in such a sensible and often equivocal area, as the political one. One of the newest ways of presenting the political events in the international and local press is that one of excessive personalization of
these events. In this case the accents are displaced from the event itself and its possible effects on the state’s citizens to the political characters, involved in the same events, with an exaggerated demonstration of the personal qualities of political leaders themselves. |
