Rezumat | ||||||
Ioan Sulacov’s novel, Însemnările unui fl ămând (Notes of a hungry man), is centered
upon a case and is related to literature of „cases of life.” „Notes” are interesting first, because of the structure of humanity, of the autobiographical elements, of striking authenticity of young man’s experiences in the fi ght against a ghost of hunger on the background of total misery. Vania, the protagonist, is a sentimental romantic young man in senior high school. He makes three trips to Bucharest, trips with many trivial cases. He has an introspective spirit; he „extracts” everything form facts and lays them on paper. The intermittent notes are some kind of confessions combined with adventure of initiation and the lust of questioning this or that life situation. The novel is in some way valuable, it has some common things and is of
historical and documentary interest. |
