The aim of the undertaken theoretical-practical research consists in emphasizing the factors which influence on the quality of professors-students relations in the academic university environment and on their academic achievements. The results of the scientific data analysis allow us to affirm that the quality and the nature of these relations are determined by professors'age. The middle age of the professor is favorable for positive relations with the students; meanwhile the young and old age professors create some vulnerability in this respect. Also we found the existence of a disparity in the perception of the quality of the relation "professorstudent". In this case the middle age professors also have more favoured positions. The difference between their and students' perception regarding the way they interact is minimal. Besides, the research contains data which strengthen the idea of limited responsibility of the relations between professors and students upon the academic performance of the last. |
