In the present article it is analyzed the place and the role of the Moldovan political elite
into the process of the democratic transition. The current piece of writing makes a close study of
the aspects of edification and consolidation of the new elite, studies the quality and the
professionalism of the leaders, and emphasizes the criterions of efficacy and functionality of the
political class. These and other problems are investigated from the Republic of Moldova’s
European integration perspective.
