The home affairs in the European Union have always represented, since the beginning of European cooperation on internal security, an extremely delicate issue. Recognizing Romania’s difficulties in the integration process the author come to the conclusion that, after the accession moment, as well, the Romanian authorities will still have to work hard to maintain the same rhythm in configurating the Romanian internal security system, first of all based on the recommendations made by European authorities, in general, and the European Commission, in particular.
