In this article we must present the evolution of terminology in the field of Romanian librarianship, to describe the stages in which it can be implemented, to address some historical and theoretical premises of the emergence of library language. At the same time, it does not propose an effect and an analysis of the librarianship of the terms in various publications, for all the perspectives of the history of evolution. Over the last decades, library terminology has been and is the subject of debates in various circles of specialties.

În articolul de faţă încercăm să prezentăm evoluţia terminologiei din domeniul biblioteconomic românesc, să descriem etapele de dezvoltare a acesteia, să abordăm unele premise istorice şi teoretice ale apariţiei limbajului biblioteconomic. Totodată, ne propunem a efectua şi o analiză a termenilor biblioteconomici în diverse publicații, tot din perspectiva evoluţiei istorice. Pe parcursul ultimelor decenii, terminologia biblioteconomică a constituit şi constituie subiect de dezbateri în diverse cercuri de specialişti
