As numerous studies reveal, the postmodern epoch ended approximately at the turn of the 20th and the 21st centuries; the new cultural epoch is referred to in different ways (as digimodern, automodern, metamodern, postpostmodern, etc.). Our creative team, Jozefina Cușnir, doctor habilitat, writer, Vladimir Șimanschi, stage director, actor, Elena Cușnir, stage director, writer, and Andrei Șimanschi, painter, actor, develops the concept of the “megamodern” cultural epoch both theoretically and practically. This cultural epoch descends from modern and postmodern in their highest manifestations, implicitly embodying the ideas of prominent thinkers of the 20th century belonging to different national cultures. The basis of megamodern is an open playing dialogue with the meanings (essence) which harmoniously transforms the world. Megamodern can be interpreted as a special system of intercultural meanings conveyed to the cultural space (often implicitly): “The meaning is beyond the dogma, the narrative is beyond the cliché”; “The meaning as a revelation of the infinite, which is positive, within the individual and the specific”; “Laughter as a reportable tool of catharsis”; “Sacral humanism as the absolute significance of the individual essence; the human essence is the end, not the means”; “Metaphysics of an act: by implementing our essence, we transform the world”, etc. The concept of “constructive philosophy” (the total of special aspects of contemporary philosophy that contribute to the development of megamodern and the results of the systematic elaboration of such developments) is introduced.
