În studiu se analizează importanţa ecologică, economică, culturală a Rezervaţiei de Stat „Prutul de Jos” înscrisă în 2018 în Reţeaua Mondială UNESCO a Rezervaţiilor Biosferei. Este prima Rezervaţie a Biosferei instituită în Republica Moldova. Prin intermediul ei s-a creat o imagine prestigioasă a Republicii Moldova în lume. În premieră în istoriografie s-a pus în evidenţă contribuţia Asociaţiei Obşteşti „Verde e Moldova” la realizarea dezideratului de conservare a biodidiversităţii. Rezervaţia biosferei „Prutul de Jos” este constituită dintr-un valoros sector de luncă, iar vegetaţia este reprezentată de circa 270 de specii. La realizarea politicilor de protecţie a mediului şi dezvoltare durabilă contribuie substanțial Asociaţia Obştească „Verde e Moldova”, asigurând în acelaşi timp şi conservarea biodiversităţii.

The study considers the ecological, economic, and cultural importance of the “Down Prut” State Reserve registered in 2018 in the UNESCO World Network of Biosphere Reserves. It is the first Biosphere Reserve established in the Republic of Moldova. Through it, a prestigious image of the Republic of Moldova was created in the world. For the first time in historiography, the contribution of the “Moldova is Green” Public Association to the achievement of the biodiversity preservation goal was highlighted. The Biosphere Reserve “Down Prut” consists of a valuable meadow sector and the vegetation is represented by about 270 species. An essential contribution to the implementation of environmental protection and sustainable development policies is the “Moldova is Green” Public Association, while ensuring the conservation of biodiversity.
