Rezumat | ||||||
Broomrape is an essential problem in sunflower production, especially in the Trakya Region which is a European part of Turkey. These areas are mostly infested with new races of
broomrape. Though highly broomrape tolerant hybrids are used in the production, there are no completely broomrape resistant hybrids cultivated in Turkey. The research involved studies on
the seed and oil yield performances of sunflower hybrids in the 2010 registration trials conducted in broomrape infested areas. Tunca and DKF2525 are two high oil yielding sunflower hybrids developed and in a great demand in Turkey. However, the research has shown that 08 TR 003, LG 5580, P-63F73, and LG 5400 are the most promising hybrids characterized by both high oil yields and broomrape resistance. |
