Polygraph is used over several decades in order to discover the crime, but the opinions of specialists from different countries concerning the legal status of sychophysiological examination results are often the opposite. In some cases, it is proposed and argued the need to use these results as evidence, and in others, even the legality of applying the technical means are considered monstrous crime that violates the rights and freedoms and negatively influences the person’s psychophysical state of the subject being tested.
In connection with this, in countries where the use of polygraph is accepted, normative regulation is being done strictly as a test procedure and limits the use of the results.
