Rezumat

In Europe, more than half century of experience has been accumulated in development of interstate relations within the framework of the Euro regions. Cooperation between border territories of countries, in modern form, began to develop in 1950s, when existing borders did not correspond at all to the historically formed linguistic, ethnic, cultural and economic communities. Despite this, by the mid-1980s, political and legal foundations of interregional relations were formed, which not only generalized existing experience, but also determined their development in new conditions of the Council of Europe's international relations. Gained experience over decades of such cooperation showed most effective way of European countries integration, leveling their economic, social and political development corresponding to the highest standards of people's lives. Today, almost two-thirds of territory of the Republic of Moldova is included in the Euro regions, which unite neighboring countries: Ukraine, Romania, and the Federal State of Carinthia (Austria). Article examines process of cross-border cooperation of the Republic of Moldova in the framework of Euro regions of "Upper Prut", "Lower Danube", "Dniester". Analysis of the activities of these associations showed both achievements and problems that do not allow making cooperation more effective so far
