Rezumat

The results concerning fertility estimation of 7 black currant varieties(percent of fruit sets and ripe fruit, average fruit mass, yield from 100 flowers, average seed number in fruit) indifferent pollination treatments (natural and artificial self-pollination,open pollination) are shown. All studied varieties: Divo Zvjaginoj,Karmelita, Malen‘kii prince, Sensei, Tamerlan, Chernavka and Shalunja, have been selected as the most self-fertile and highly productive ones by natural pollination, providing an annual high yield production based on one cultivar per commercial plantation. The positive influence of free pollination on the success of fertilization of the studied black currant varieties and in this connection the selection of variety-fertilizer by artificial cross-pollination, are made and noted. The best variety-fertilizers for Divo Zvjaginoj variety and Malen‘kii prince are Tamerlan and Chernavka, for Karmelita–Malen‘kii prince,Tamerlan,Shalunja, for Tamerlan Malen‘ kiiprince, for Chernavka – Malen‘kii prince andTamerlan;joint placing of these varieties on a plantationwill provide a crop increase by 16,6-29,4%in comparison with one cultivar per commercial plantation. For Sensei and Shalunja varieties, the best variety-fertilizer from the studied varieties, has not been allocated.
