There were analyzed the official statistical data on preventive examinations results in children aged 0-18 years in the period 2003-2011. The period surveyed is considered sufficient to assess the organization of the health system and its influence on the young generation morbidity indicators. The research showed that the most frequently recorded deficiency is “low visual acuity” with a national wide rate which varies between 26.6 and 19.8 in 1000 examined pupils. In the cities this indicator is higher compared to the national average, while the district level is lower. Most often this deficiency is detected in 2nd -4th and 5th-8th graders. The 2nd place at a significant distance from the 1st, is ocupied by „physical retardation” cases. This deficiency is often detected in the rayons, where the rates are higher than the national average and the rate in municipalities is lower. The 3rd place is occupied by “bad posture disorders”, which rates, compared to the national average, are higher in municipalities and lower in rayons. These diseases are often first detected in the 1st grade pupils. “Speech defects” and “scoliosis” share the 4th place in the ranking. More often they occur in the municipalities and rarely in rayons. In this case most frequently they are detected in pupils of 1st and 2nd-4th grades. Preventive medical check-ups help identify areas of intervention for family doctors, specialists and managers in the health system, in order to improve children health |
