Introduction: The study of perinatal asphyxia in premature infants is a topical issue and of great importance due to the increasing incidence of premature births increased relative to total births. Objective: Identifying risk factors ante and intrapartum highlighting the newborn at risk of premature birth may suffer some degree of hypoxia. Material and method: We performed a retrospective study based on data collected from observation charts of Neonatology Department of the Emergency County Hospital „St. Apostol Andrei “Galati during January 1, 2013 December 31st 2014 were 137 cases with the diagnosis of asphyxia (hypoxia) perinatal prematurity (group I) and a prospective study on a group of 30 premature newborns without risk factors the significant perinatal and represented the control group (group II). Results: Analysing the cases, we have seen an increase in preterm in 2014 compared with 2013, and an increasing trend in the incidence of asphyxia reported to them. The number of preterm what had perinatal asphyxia at birth, compared to total births in Neonatology ward was about 4.52% in the period studied, from which most newborns had a mild form of asphyxia. Conclusions: It is necessary to recognize the rapid establishment of measures and prompt resuscitation and when anticipated a complex resuscitation is needed to build a team because every second is precious. |
