Rezumat

The totalitarian monological paradigm was characterized by a climate of intolerance towards the critical thinking. With the liberation from the restrictions of ideology, the literary criticism returns to its natural tasks and criteria supporting the literary values, leaning on a nuanced and persuasive interpretative tool. This commencement occurred slowly, with much hesitation, starting with the interwar writers’ rehabilitation and the reconsideration of Bessarabian literary process in general. A beneficial effect on literary criticism had the publication of magazines „South-East”, „Contrafort” and „Sign”. Together with the newness of literary discourse and with the diversification of styles and critical options, there is an increasingly obvious inclination towards a slight lack of postmodern responsibility. This tendency’s signs reveals from the preference for ludic and for ironical and self-ironical „deconstructions”, from the option for a subjective opinion in front of the truth’s criterion and from the defiance of methodical analysis and of systematic thought in favour of an improvised impressionism and speculative digressions.
