Rezumat

Geopolitical interests of great powers are aimed at regions rich in hydrocarbons where each actor is trying to impose its own power potential, the options being completely different, including the military ones, prefiguring an instable image of regional security and determining the level for ensuring the energy dimension of national security in the region. Practically all states in the regions rich in natural resources try to occupy more advantageous geopolitical positions within the games to identify their place and role in energetic projects. The geopolitical conjuncture of the Republic of Moldova, which is a component part of the CIS energetic system and depends on a single energy supplier, contributes to the decrease of the level for ensuring the energy dimension of the national security. In these conditions it is necessary the Republic of Moldova takes advantage of all opportunities provided by the membership in the European Energy Community Treaty and prioritizes its actions according to its own capacities and possibilities.
