In the context of actual global vulnerabilities to which energy and economic securities are exposed to, as a result of the limited energy resources and recent years crises, more efficient energy security is a priority condition for ensuring the national security performance of each state. This article examines through the energy triangle concept the performance evaluation of the energy architecture and its expanding impacts on economical, energetical and ecological imperatives from Republic of Moldova, by theoretically approaching the current international interdependencies. For Republic of Moldova, the concepts of Energy Triangle or Energy Architecture Performance Index are relatively new, but they have promising perspective in the context of ensuring economic and energy security. The use of these concepts in practice could facilitate the monitoring, prevention and overcoming energy security risks and vulnerabilities. The results confirm quantitatively that Moldova's energy security is characterized to be vulnerable to the economic, geopolitical and environmental sustainability risks.. |
