The points of view and various attitudes towards the folk element finally resulted the variety of written literature, the authors assimilating in a specific mode the popular creation. If the narrative structure of Ion Druţă’s work reveals „a strong spirit of fairytale” and a strong correlation with the legend, story, ballad, lyric song, those of D. Matcovschi – link with the ballad and folk poetry, the short prose of G. Meniuc, V. Ioviţă, I. Burghiu – with the arrangements of anecdote, legend and story, then V. Vasilache in his works resorts to the allegory, to the structure and a system of conventions of the story, to the mythical and folkloric symbols. In that approach will be investigated the etnofolkloric constituents participating in the shaping of symbolic mythical horizon, as obvious as it is hidden, being present in the second world of the novel Povestea cu cocoşul roşu.
