Curchi Monastery, founded in 1773 by Iordache Curchi had during the existence of one of the richest libraries that were on the shelves, old documents, manuscripts and printed books. The first evidence of the existence of a library Curchi dates from the second half of the eighteenth century, when the monastery was headed by Manasie, brother of her first founder. Other information about the library of the monastery dates back to 1814 when died Theodore Sabau, another founder of the monastery. Monks gathered at Curchi an appreciable number of books that were used in the celebration of divine service and in the school teaching, which operate in the nineteenth century near the monastery. In her off time Soviet authorities, the library amounted to about 4,000 units that have disappeared. Only a small number of books were identified in the libraries from Chisinau. In this article the author tried, based on various sources, to reconstruct partial list of manuscripts and printed books in the library.
