D. Matcovschi’s entire work focuses on a dominant of „struggle with inertia” intended to revive national consciousness, which marked the signification of his artistic vision of the world. Hence his relevant ethical perspective subordinates to the aesthetic. Diverse artistic reality created by the author is a formative area and a transformative factor for a young personality that needs some landmarks in its becoming. The spirit of Matcovschi’s work is built of several elements that the author intended. First there is a „desire to live”, that joviality of existential philosophy of our people; D. Matcovschi’s creation offers a formula of vitality since, in the name of life, it is required to fully sound all the truths and not to accept fear and treacherous silence, imperatives that require true courage and artistic citizenship. This is the natural space of Romanian people’s spirituality inside which a young reader can feed, in today's morality crisis, from the spring of ethics, from the aura of aesthetics, having a possibility to acquire the skills needed for a life responsible for successful activity.
