In this scientific work are displayed the results concerning the quality parameters of the surface water from the Dniester river and tributaries in the Wetland of International importance no.1500 „Unguri-Holosnita” Ramsar Site, located on the left bank of the Dniester River in northeastern Moldova near the border with Ukraine (administrative territories of Ocniţa, Soroca and Donduşeni districts.
The evaluation of the chemical compound of the investigated rivers show, that waters have classification – „ape dulci”. Predominant ions are HCO3, Ca2 , Mg2 . Mineralization of the surface waters from investigated area is between 300 and 700 mg/dm3.
Concentration of heavy metals is: Fe − 0,059-0, 54 mg/dm3 − I-IV class of quality; Zn − 0,0009 and 0,013 mg/dm3 − I-II class of quality. Content of Cu, Pb and Cd surpass the admissible limit and surface waters from Wetland „Unguri-Holosnita” are of II–V class of quality.
Medium pedological potential of the soil cover of the Wetland „Unguri-Holosnita” territory constitutes 70 points. |
