The author of this article opens the problem of psychological consequences of armed conflicts, which in spite of its wide spreading on post-soviet space, still is not enough examined and discussed. The author’s proper vision of the reason of low level of the mentioned field investigation is given as well. A strong necessity of foundation of entire system of psychological help to veterans of wars and local conflicts is noted in the article. The author gives the analysis of causes of post-traumatic military syndrome manifestation. The disability to adapt to the realities of peaceful life and to apply practical skills and styles of behavior, obtained in war conditions, are mentioned as being the main. The article contains statistic data, which reflect a special acuteness of the problem on post-soviet area.
